Frequently Asked Questions

This is a common question and it’s not one size fits all. Every person is different and it depends upon various external factors as well, but on average, I find it takes around 6-10 weeks to start seeing observable changes. If the tools shared are applied more regularly and consistently, growth is usually faster.

All sessions are around 50 minutes to 1 hour long. The sessions are conducted online via Google Meet or any other platform the client is comfortable with. For clients who are not comfortable doing the sessions on camera, sessions can be conducted through voice calls as well. The information shared would be confidential and none of the sessions would be voice or video recorded.

In coaching sessions, we explore the issues you would like to work on and create certain goals you would like to achieve during our session. After this, we understand your experiences and get clarity regarding why your reactions make sense, noticing them with curiosity instead of judgment. Then we start taking some steps to create change at the root-level. Healing might not always be linear and at times there can be a few ups and downs during this process. Sometimes resistance might pop up as well as where a part of us wants to grow, but a part of us is hesitant and together we work on those things as a part of the process. The sessions would be confidential and none of your sessions would be digitally recorded. I would write notes during the sessions with your consent that I won’t share with anyone.

I like my clients to give me a 24-hour notice in advance before they cancel a session. I do understand that at times emergencies come up at the last minute and to accommodate that, I allow my clients to give me a last-minute notice twice in a year. If last-minute cancellations happen more than twice a year, a cancellation fee is charged that will be 50% of the session price. Even if the cancellation fee is charged, it will not negatively affect my relationship with my clients. This policy simply exists to maintain professional boundaries and respect the time reserved for each session.

Since I am a trauma-informed therapist in India, I only help clients with more serious mental health conditions (Trigger Warning: like suicide or self-harm) who are Indians or located in India. For all International clients, I only provide coaching services for issues that don’t fall under severe mental health conditions and if the mental health condition is severe, such international clients should get support from their local mental health professional.
